Bluetooth Firmware Software Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW:
Develops, creates, and modifies Bluetooth Firmware software. Maintain Bluetooth function areas on different Qualcomm platforms. Development activity involves feature implementation and bug fixes. Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions. Designs software or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Modifies existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

• Resolves straightforward technical issues and escalates more complex technical issues to an appropriate party.
• Writes readable code for large features or significant bug fixes to support collaboration with other engineers.
• Determines which work tasks are most important for self and junior engineers, stays focused, and deals with setbacks in a timely manner.
• Unit tests own code to verify the stability and functionality of a feature.
• Working under some supervision.
• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
• Software Engineering - Solid working experience in implementing and debugging Linux/Android BSP/driver or other embedded OS. Proven hand-on experience with C development. Understanding Linux/Android/Unix Kernel mechanism. BT working experience will be a big plus. Knowledge of the overall process for developing new software.
• Communication - Can comminute in English smoothly. The ability to convey information clearly and accurately, as well as choosing the most effective method of delivery This includes using a technically sound communication style both verbally and in writing.

• Troubleshooting - The ability to detect malfunctions in daily operations, including scheduling issues and process problems, and determining root causes and appropriate solutions for operating errors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master's in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Python, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years experience with Database Management Software.
• 2+ years experience with API.
• 2+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization.
• 1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership
